Aside: What's the Fair Way to Judge People's Work?

I know that the way I'm phrasing this question is going to drive some of you stark raving mad, but bear with me, please? I know that, for many of you, none of the following statements exactly describes what you think or feel. Still, help me make comparisons by picking the one that most closely resembles the way that you think about the question, "What's the fair way to judge people's work?"
